It depends a bit which government — around the world there are examples of highly competent governments and ones that routinely mess up. I do think that we all, as citizens, corporations, and government agencies, have a role to play in order to ensure a future for coming generations. However I understand that this can be frustrating if you're living in a country whose government you are not satisfied with!
