Clearly you have a lot of experience with Swift and know very well what you're talking about. Having very little experience with it myself, I came across quite a few articles contrasting Swift with Python and marketing the former as a serious competitor — hence my reaction with this post.

You raise some important points that I shall consider for future articles though, like running comparisons around performance or memory usage as opposed to adoption. Also, Swift vs Kotlin sounds like an interesting next rabbithole to dig into :)
